Muhammad Daniyal Kamal, from Pakistan, is pursuing a career as an environmental scientist. He is the CEO and co-founder of RE-AD Resilience and Adaptation, where the primary focus is on educating students about the environment, climate change, biodiversity loss, and water conservation, and how they can play their roles as responsible citizens of Pakistan to reshape the future. He has taught around 600+ students. Additionally, he serves as Secretary SDGs at The Buraaq Association, leading the team and students on sustainable practices in different domains. Furthermore, he is the Finance Secretary of the Quaidian Disaster Risk Management Society at his university.
Omlas project: Pakistan faces various disasters such as floods, landslides, and earthquakes. However, there is a lack of capacity building among the people to combat or recover from these disasters. His initial project idea is to promote disaster risk management strategies in his society. He plans to incorporate the SDGs in a way that he and his team will develop a linkage to disaster risk reduction strategies. They will teach management practices and strategies to students in schools, colleges, and universities. He has a plan to develop the physical and online training modules in various areas. He aims to address key Sustainable Development Goals; SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 14: Life Below Water, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
